Environment Policy

This is the Environmental Policy Statement of:

Hazrem Environmental Ltd,
St Margarets Business Park,
Pengam Road,
Aberbargoed
CF81 9FW

Our statement of general policy is:

Hazrem Environmental Ltd will give priority to those suppliers that provide the best practical environmental option, in terms of both cost and impact. We will always ask our customers what their priority is in terms of cost or limiting their impact on the environment (and provide them with the best environmental option or most cost effective disposal / recycling route, dependant on their objectives). To aid us in achieving these aims and to ensure that Hazrem manage any prospective impacts on the environment we will: -

  • Establish and maintain links with all new technology suppliers to ensure that our customers are aware of new environmental options to deal with their waste
  • Use only those contractors that are licensed to carry out specific activities
  • Ensure that we and the activities we carry out on behalf of our customers; comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Reduce, re-use and recycle waste that we have direct control over i.e. within the office environment
  • Offer consultancy (ISO14001) services to all customers to aid them in identifying and reducing their environmental impacts.
  • Explain these objectives and provide adequate training to all new / existing employees, thereby ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to understand the different environmental impacts (and we will also check the effectiveness of training!)
  • Ensure that all quotations relating to waste disposal and recycling are filtered through a central process, to confirm that environmental options are offered to the customer
  • Ensure that hazardous or dangerous substances are transported, stored, handled and used correctly to ensure no ill affects on either the environment or persons involved

This policy statement should be reviewed and where applicable up dated annually. The successful implementation of the above objectives is the responsibility of the managing director.
